Material instructions

PDF is the recommended file format for the finished material:

  • Aspect ratio: 1:1
  • Print area width: 236 mm, height: 310 mm
  • Fonts must be embedded in the PDF file
  • Print-ready PDF should not contain color profiles
  • CMYK colors
  • Image resolution: 200 ppi
  • The PDF file name should include the advertiser’s name and the publication date. Also, include the advertiser’s contact information in the message.Submit materials under 10 MB to ilmoitus@mt.fi. For materials larger than 10 MB, use the Owncloud material service for file transfer. To obtain the link for material transfer, please request it via email at ilmoitus@mt.fi or by phone at 020 413 2471.

NOTE for material providers: Adobe will end support for PostScript Type 1 fonts in January 2023. Therefore, we cannot accept materials containing PostScript Type 1 or TrueType fonts after January 2023 unless the fonts have been converted into paths in the material. For such materials, we cannot modify or update their content. If the materials are not created according to the instructions, we do not take responsibility for their functionality.

For materials, we recommend using OpenType fonts, preferably Adobe FontFolio typefaces or Adobe Fonts typefaces. All fonts used must be included in the PDF materials. If needed, inquire further at ilmoitus@mt.fi.
